Scripture: Exodus 2:1–9
The story of Miriam in Exodus 2:1–9 takes place during one of the darkest periods in Israel’s history. The Israelites had multiplied greatly in Egypt, and Pharaoh became fearful of their growing numbers and influence.

Miriam’s story teaches the importance of cooperation in fulfilling God’s purpose. During a dangerous time, when Pharaoh ordered all Hebrew baby boys to be killed, Moses’ mother Jochebed acted in faith by placing him in a basket on the Nile.
Being born again is the beginning of a new life in Christ, not the completion of our spiritual journey.
Christian fellowship is more than meeting together; it means sharing a common relationship with Jesus Christ and living under the authority of God’s Word. Nehemiah 8 shows how powerfully God’s Word works when His people gather united, hungry and attentive.
Faith is not just a theoretical concept; it is the practical assurance and conviction of things hoped for but not yet seen. God is not looking for our ability but our availability.
Jesus declares, “I am the True Vine,” revealing that He alone is the source of spiritual life and nourishment. Just as certain parasitic vines choke and drain their host, there are false sources, spiritual and worldly, that seek to draw life away from believers.
The African Church has grown rapidly, yet spiritual maturity has not kept pace. Many believers have never been intentionally discipled, making it difficult to reproduce true discipleship in others. As a result, nominalism, traditionalism, and false teaching have weakened the Church’s witness.
