Sunday exhortation
Scripture: Nehemiah 8:1–12
Christian fellowship is more than meeting together; it means sharing a common relationship with Jesus Christ and living under the authority of God’s Word. Nehemiah 8 shows how powerfully God’s Word works when His people gather united, hungry and attentive.
Key points
- United: the people gathered “as one man”; Jesus must be at the centre of our fellowship.
- A deep hunger for God’s Word: may God’s voice be louder than our voices in every ministry and cell.
- Transformation: the Word brings conviction, and “the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).
Response: Pray that God will open your spiritual eyes to see Him more clearly through His Word, and for His guidance in the week ahead.
