Scripture: Jonah 1:1–4:10
Evangelism and missions are two expressions of God’s redemptive plan. Evangelism is the local proclamation of the gospel, sharing Christ within our immediate environment: family, workplace, and community.
Memory verse: “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.”
Psalm 103:19
Every believer will face seasons of pressure, trials, disappointments, and challenges. The Christian life is not exempt from difficulties. However, God often uses pressure to strengthen, refine, and prove our faith.
God has created every believer with a unique purpose and ministry. We are His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for the good works He prepared in advance for us (Ephesians 2:10).
Ephesians 2:10 describes us as God’s masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus for the good works He has prepared for us. A masterpiece is something carefully formed with intention and purpose. In the same way, our lives are not accidents.
Most believers remember the joy of salvation: the awareness of forgiveness, a new identity in Christ, and the excitement of walking with God. We worshiped with heartfelt praise, prayed fervently, and loved God’s Word sincerely.
If you did not come to church next Sunday, who would notice? God never designed us to grow alone. Fellowship is what happens when people who share Christ begin to share their lives.
Faithfulness means being the same person and keeping the same commitments, whether people are watching or not and whether it is convenient or not. We are faithful because we are connected to a faithful God: the branch carries the character of the Vine.
